It is Sora's off day at work and she opted to stay home. She listened to her favorite music genre on her iPod and hummed while cleaning her room. When the earphones were causing hindrance to her, she decided to plug the iPod on the speaker dock and danced to the tune while tidying her place.
She was about to take a nap after 2 hours nonstop doing her weekly home clean up when a loud knock startled her. Sora rushed to open the door as she thought that there must be some emergency news from the security personnel.
Sora was dumbfounded when she was fronted by a guy she has never seen before. There he stood with his right hand on the door frame whilst his left was on his hips. Utter impatience was obvious on his face. He was wearing a white shirt and a hoodie with a pair of snickers and sweat pants. Sora could tell he just came off from an exercising routine.
".... Yes? May I help you sir?" Sora tried her best to sound civil and stopped herself from yelling at this stranger.
"Well Hi! I live next door and you ma'am happened to disturb my peace! Will you be kind enough to turn down the volume of your rubbish music?" Leeteuk's sarcastic remark.
"I apologize if my "rubbish" music disturbed your sanity as I can very well tell that you turned 'loco' after hearing it!" Sora retaliated back. It is one thing that this guy caused a momentary panic on her by almost breaking her door but it is another thing to be rude.
"Look, I do not want to waste your time especially my time but it would be prudent for you to be considerate of others! Just please manage the noise you create enough for you to absorb and not bug other people on whatever madness you are into! Now I have to excuse myself and rest! Good day!" Leeteuk's spontaneous cold response and left.
It took a good couple of minutes before Sora was able to absorb his words. She was awestruck by what transpired moments ago.
"Who the hell does he think he is? He just newly transferred and instead of being a friendly neighbour, this is how he introduced himself? Gosh! The nerve!"
She tried to recount their unexpected confrontation in her head and remembered how he looked. The guy was fairly cute, has a nice set of teeth, a good complexion and toned body.
"He is attractive alright but that does not give him a license to breathe arrogance! How can he be so crude? He did not even mind to ask me properly? Gosh! If I knew my day would turn out like this at my own home, then I should have gone out to work!"
***Days after at a convenience store***
Sora picked up the pesto sauce and put it in her shopping cart. She was going through her shopping list for the week when she realized she missed to include important items. She quickly pushed her cart on her right after the stall of fruits but she lost balance and accidentally hit somebody's leg.
"Oh Gosh! I am so sorry!" Sora quickly apologized.
Sora got the surprise of her life when the same rude guy days ago would be the victim of her clumsiness.
"Miss, I do not care if you are in a rush for something but you have to be careful". Leeteuk's apathetic response and walked away.
When Sora got home. She dropped her grocery bags on the floor and walked back and forth.
"What is wrong with that guy? He is seriously annoying me! I can't believe they allowed a psycho to live in this building!"
*****
It has been raining endlessly and the storm has been reported to get worse.
Sora came home from work soaked from the rain.
"Thank God I got home safely before the authorities completely blocked the roads".
Sora has been standing in front of her door for over 10 minutes but could not find her keys. She flipped through her pockets and topped off the stuff from her bag but it is nowhere to be found.
"Oh my... please where did that go?”
Leeteuk came out from the lift and saw Sora on her knees ravaging through her bag.
By instinct, Sora turned her head to her right and saw Leeteuk looking. She instantly frowned and continued her search for the keys.
Leeteuk did not mind and entered his apartment.
***After 1 Hour***
Leeteuk decided to buy some snacks from the vending machine downstairs and he saw Sora sitting in front of her door with her arms hugging her legs and head resting on her knees.
"Excuse me are you ok?" He asked while maintaining a fair distance from her.
Sora looked up and when she saw Leeteuk again she felt the need to shove him away. She stood up abruptly and felt her vision suddenly twirled then everything turned black.
Luckily Leeteuk was able to catch her before she hits her head on the ground.
"What did I get myself into?" Leeteuk cursed underneath his breath.
*****
The next morning Sora opened her eyes and saw a different shade of ceiling design. She looked around and realized she is in a different place. Panic ran through her and quickly jumped out of the bed.
"OUCH!!!!"
Sora was shocked to see Leeteuk sleeping on the floor and screamed on top of her lungs.
"Whoah whoah! Calm down please! You are in my place but let me explain! Leeteuk tried to stop her from freaking out.
"Why am I here?! What have you done to me?!!" Sora yelled.
"You fainted last night. I don't know why. I did not do anything to you so relax. I just helped you ok?" Leeteuk reasoned out while massaging his leg that Sora accidentally stepped on.
Sora recalled that she must have collapsed last night due to fatigue.
".... Thank you. I.... I need to go" She shyly retreated.
"Wait, what's your name?" Leeteuk asked.
"You can call me Sora"
"I am Leeteuk. Sora, you look a little pale. Why don't you join me for breakfast before leaving? You would not want to faint again outside, would you?"
Sora hesitated a bit but she is indeed feeling weak.
Though slightly surprised that this guy can be nice too, she gave in. "Well... Ok, thank you".
***Months past***
Leeteuk and Sora became good friends despite the not so ideal circumstances when they first met. Sometimes Sora would invite Leeteuk to eat dinner with her at home and Leeteuk does the same and would ask Sora out for coffee or drinks.
Their hang outs became excessively frequent and has reached the point of emotional investment.
***Sora's Apartment***
"Sora, I don't think I can still be friends with you. I am starting to get confused" Leeteuk confessed.
"What do you mean by that? have I done something wrong?"
"No, but I am no longer seeing you as a friend. I think I... like you more than that." He gently looked at her. "I started to fall in love with you, I love you… would you accept me to be more than just your friend?"
Sora did not respond so Leeteuk stood and walked towards the door.
When Sora grasped her senses back, "Don't leave..."
Leeteuk turned around and waited for what she has to say ".... I feel the same way too. I love you" She tearfully admitted.
She ran towards him and he lifted her up and hugged her tight. Both felt relieved and very much looking forward to the next stage of the relationship that they unexpectedly developed.
