The expression of recombinant Sm-Ca

The expression of recombinant Sm-Cathepsin B was carried out using the Pichia Pastoris expression system PichiaPinkTM (Invitrogen). Expression of the recombinant protein is shown in Fig. 1 by Coomassie blue stained polyacrylamide gel (Fig. 1a) and by western blot analysis using antibodies against the His tag (Fig. 1b). A discrete band representing recombinant Sm-Cathepsin B at 39 kDa can be visualized in both cases.
