The full research design arising from the dyadic approach is depicted in Fig. 1. It is based on the hypotheses developed in Section 3 and displays the four variables used with respect to the group of respondents from which they were surveyed.
To ensure ex ante completeness and understand ability, and following the recommendations of Dillman (2008),the questionnaires were pilot-tested by six executives from business practice and six academic researchers before they were sent out.
