Furthermore, compared to the conventional thermal decomposition method using iron salts as precursor [12–16], our heterogeneous catalyst was synthesized by in-situ reduction of exchanged Fe2+ ions in aqueous solution at ambient temperature. This could prevent destruction of zeolite framework structure, crystallinity and acidity during the calcination treatment. The aforementioned characteristics will certainly result in an efficient performance for refractory pollutants degradation by Fenton oxidation.
