From the SEM images, clear differences in the surface morphology of raw and metal ion loaded seashell powders can be observed.
The seashell powder had heterogeneous surface morphology with small granules and many spaces. The metal ion loaded images show the appearance of secondary solids on the surface,
indicating that surface precipitation occurred during biosorption
