To oppose the United states, beyond mild criticism, is imprudent-and there are bad consequences. That is why, after the initial inaction, private misgivings, and even criticism by some government, many U.S. Allies came around to supporting President George W.Bush's war effort against Irag. To do otherwise is foolish; in this day and age do you not want to antagonize the United States. It is better to go along with the United States on one issue i the expectations that will help you win points on the next issue, which may be more important to you than is Irag. It sounds cynical but that it the way it work. In the present day world of the United States as the only superpower, it makes no sense to cross America.
