Perhaps the greatest strength of the modern Binet lies in its use with preschool children (Bracken & Walker 1997; Sanders, 1997). A particular application that has shown considerable promise is the assessment of preschoolers with developmental delays or learning difficulties (Alfonso & Flanagan, 1999; S. L. Kaplan & Alfonso, 1997). The modern Binet has also shown promise in measuring intellectual functioning in individuals with low cognitive ability (Wolber et al., 1997).
