2.1.4.1. Mesh size and slide interface. To run the analysis with optimal
computational time and obtain results with good accuracy in
the finite element method-based geometric model, the respective
mesh size of every material was required (Lorenson, 1990; Lin
et al., 1995; Pathak et al., 2003; Pitchai et al., 2012). The appropriate
mesh size is related to the dielectric properties of the materials
and the wavelength of the microwave in free space at the
frequency used, as shown in Eq. (8) and has been discussed by
Liu et al. (2013). In addition, all elements in this study were cut
in the shape of a cube or cuboid to achieve good prediction
accuracy.
