Materials and methods2.1. MaterialsThe gum exudates of P. cerasoides D. Don were collected fromKhawzawl, Mizoram during the month of May–July. The plant wasidentified and authenticated at Botanical Survey of India, Shillong(No. BSI/ERC/Tech./2013/673 dated 19.3.2013) and the herbar-ium was submitted at the repository of Department of Pharmacy,RIPANS, Mizoram, India. The gum was dried in oven at 65◦C andgrounded to powder. All the chemicals and sugar standards usedwere of analytical grade.
