Project management as a discipline involves project planning, communication with clients, coordination of members of a team, evaluation and monitoring of the progress, paperwork and accounting, as well as problem identification and elimination. Resources, which include money, people, and time, are always scarce; hence the effective use of each available resource towards achievement of a given objective and goal is necessary for a project to be deemed successful, the expectations of the client have to either be achieved or exceeded. Success does not entirely rely on being within the limits time frame and budget, although these elements are also important. Success, which is assessed by meeting or exceeding the expectations of a customer, maximizing the use of available resources, and being within the limits of the given budget, is only achieved through proper project management.
