Internationalisation from a network approach
The growing importance of the dynamics of international trade relations is demonstrated in the emerging number of studies based on the approach of network theory (Ellis, P. 2000). Much of the literature to date has focused on the development of relationships (Canals, J. 1994), while the beginning of these relationships has not been studied usual (Olsen, M. 1991). Following extended network theory, entry into foreign markets is seen as a function of continuous interorganizational interactions between local companies and their networks. This means that the opportunities of foreign markets will reach the local company by members of the network (Blankenburg, D.; Johanson, J. 1997).
