Two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to determine the effects of cultivar and seed company on total anthocyanin concentrations, individual anthocyanin and phenolic concentrations, and FRAP antioxidant capacities. For several of the data sets, a transformation (log for anthocyanin C concentrations; square root for caftaric and gentisic acids and anthocyanin D; inverse for caffeic and chicoric acids) was necessary prior to analysis to achieve homogeneity of variance. Statistical significance was determined at the p < 0.05 level using the appropriate post hoc test (Bonferroni or Gabriel, if group sizes were unequal).
