ULTRASONOGRAPHY OF WHOLE ABDOMEN:
The liver is not enlarged with a 1.0+cm
well-defined hyperechoic lesion in the left-lobed liver.
No liver cirrhosis or thrombus in portal vein evident.
No demonstrable gallstone or dilated bile duct.
Visualized pancreas and spleen are unremarkable.
Normal renal size and renal cortical thickness noted.
No solid renal mass, renal stone, or hydronephrosis.
Urinary bladder shows no discrete mass or stone.
Prostate gland is not enlarged. No ascites.
Impression:
- A 1.0+cm well-defined hyperechoic lesion in the left-lobed liver.
DDx are hepatic hemangioma, other liver nodule,... Careful
clinical assessment or MRI is useful (if clinically indicated).
- No liver cirrhosis or thrombus in portal vein evident.
