e doubt Honda will change much in terms of electronics for the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR base model, these being the key features for the new Fireblade.
Additionally, we doubt much will change in terms of the 190hp inline-four engine that is found on the SP model, with the two bikes likely to share the engine platform and its changes from the 2016 model.
The big question for the 2017 Honda CBR1000RR though will be the price. We doubt Honda will hold fast to its $14,000 price tag for the CBR1000RR in the US market for 2017.
With the Yamaha YZF-R1 priced at $16,500 and the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R ABS priced at $16,000 MSRP, there is significant room for Honda to increase its pricing on the new CBR1000RR, especially to reflect its upgrade over the previous design.
