Production Process of Computer Cases:
Design of computer case
The first step to manufacture a computer case is designing. There are several engineers to design a specific model of computer case according to a series of criteria including PSU position, size, mother board type drive bays numbers etc. The design of computer case also determines what materials to be used for production and their specifications. Then a BOM (bill of materials) is made where specific types of materials and there quantity required for a pc case is listed.
Prepare materials for PC cases
According to the BOM, the Production Management Control department informs purchasing department to purchase listed materials. The most material required to make a computer case is steel, usually cold rolled sheet (See picture below).

Cut steel boards according to size requirement of PC case
When the steel sheets are in place, they must be cut into required size in the cross-cutting workshop. Then the steel boards with required size are transferred to stamping workshop.
Strike into shape according to pc case specifications
On the stamping machine, the steel boards are struck between 2 pieces of molds with massive force. Going through this process, the steel boards would have logos and decorative marks on, and their edges are rolled up. Some boards are bored with holes for ventilation.

Coating for computer cases
Except some inside chassis, most parts of the pc case shall go through surface treatment for better coating. There are various technical methods. Paint spraying and baking varnish are among the most common approaches. There are other methods like logo printing, laser encryption etc.
PC case assembly
The inside chassis of a pc case is usually assembled first as a part before putting all pieces together. After this process, the chassis takes on an initial outline of a computer case. When every part of the pc case is ready, they are gathered together for final assembly. Afterwards, a functional computer case comes into being.
Quality control for computer case production
Quality control (QC) is an independent department in most factories; QC workers check everything from purchased materials to finished products. Their workflow is set up according to ISO: 9000 requirements. QC team assures the product quality from the factory.
Packing of computer cases
Packing bears most information of the computer case, its model number, size, weight, and user guide etc. A computer case must have packing to fully become a commodity.
