That time with the supplementary lessons, in the end I stayed a deserted island to the very end, huh… [Island, as in, she’s sitting at a desk with nobody in the desks around her, I assume.]
“Perhaps I really do have a vicious looking face. You know, it seems as though there are even those who avert their eyes in fear.”
“Eh… But, you also have friends you get along with, right? And I mean, look, if it’s boys, you said you had a friend in cram school.”
“Yes, well…”
Akisawa-kun, huh.
“What if you asked that boy to help let everybody know your good points, Reika-chan? And you could ask your girl friends for help too. If you do, you might make a lot of friends.”
“Doesn’t that seem like quite a charade? When it gets found out, I’ll probably be so embarassed that I’ll want to die. And moreover, asking people to spread my good points is too embarassing, so I can’t do it.”
“I guess…”
I don’t want to believe that I’ve been driven that far into a corner.
“Then the best idea really was club activities! I’m sure you’ll make new friends, too!”
“You’re right. I shall immediately go have a look at the clubs the next a chance presents itself.”
Right. If I enter a club, I’ll make new friends, and I might even start a romance with a wonderful senpai!
I wonder what club I should enter.

Once people heard that I was thinking of entering a club, the tennis club came to scout me. Like I said, tennis alone is impossible for me.
And what’s ‘tenipong’? That’s a form of tennis too, isn’t it? And moreover, it’s niche! To think Suiran had a club like that.
Le tennis de table? Better yet, just straight up call it ping pong, please. Have some confidence in your own club.
If you guys want to make me hold a racquet that much, how about a compromise with badminton? Aoi-chan was thinking of entering it too, after all. When I was a kid in my past life, I played it with my friends, and it was fun, too. Mmn, that might be a good idea.
I went to visit the badminton in an easygoing mood, but I trembled at the speed of the shuttles. This is impossible. If I get hit, it’ll seriously hurt. Also, it seems there’s a lot of intense running involved. Mm~mn, running is a little… When I run, sometimes I can taste a little blood, after all. [Implies that running is so hard for her, she throws up blood, I assume] I don’t think I’m suited for running.
I invited my friends to come look at the various athletics clubs with me, but because of the intensity, I increasingly fell out of love with the idea.
“Even though I asked you all to come look with me, in the end it seems impossible for me. Sorry about this.” I apologised to my friends, but everybody looked like they expected it. I’m sorry.
A little depressed about my own weakness, while I was walking I suddenly bumped into Class Pres by chance, and was invited to join a culture club. Class Pres, are you still writing poems?
Poems aside, I might be more cut out for a culture club. I might be able to make a kind, new friend. Maybe I’ll go have a look at the culture clubs tomorrow. Right. Let’s do that.

In the end, I was attracted by the cooking and handicrafts club, thinking that it’d be nice to have some fun doing things leisurely, but when I actually went, I ended up making them super nervous, so I decided to show some discretion and held myself back.
I really did want to try knitting a plush doll though…
The hurdle for club activities sure is high, huh…
