Concentrations of 0, 30, 60, 90, 180 and 270mg Zn kg−1were added
to the vineyard soil using a solution containing ZnSO4·7H2O (60%) and
ZnCl2 (40%) in order tomimic real soil conditions. The soilwas incubated
in a greenhouse for 30 days with an 80% maximum water holding capacity
(MWHC). The maize was subsequently sown using four seeds per
plot, and three plants were kept per plot at five days after emergence
(DAE). The soilmoisturewas kept at 80%MWHC, and 50 mL of a solution
containing 50 mg N kg−1 was applied at 15 DAE.
