Dear Charles,
I hope all good there. I hope we can meet soon, long time no see.
We recently had some issues with some websites, it seems that H2O is supplying the goods to unauthorized websites operating in Thailand.
As you might know we have a new technology in our glasses, it is a RFID that help to track the source of our products. We are using this technology worldwide to discourage parallel imports. As you know all customers working with Luxottica can resell products only at authorized locations.
We have done some purchases in some websites and H2O came as suppliers. We need to ask your cooperation to stop selling to websites (like shop24, Zalora, ookbeemall, etc). Our business relationship with H2O is for offline retail shops, it is not for online. Selling to other channels than the ones authorized is breaking the ARA signed. It means that in the worst case we should stop doing business.
We have also received a call from an endconsumer of Bemynt, asking to our customer service if it was true that Luxottica will provide after sales service directly to him. He was informed by Bemynt that they could call our Customer Service for any warranty issue as the website was served by Element72. Our CS is only for B2B, we do not provide service to end consumers. This is causing for sure inconvenience to end consumers and also to my team. You can understand that we cannot start to receive calls from end consumers.
It would be good to meet to clarify the current situation and bring back to regular business.
I also want to inform you that in case instead you want to have your own website, we can offer support. We have a turn key solution that can help.
Thanks for the cooperation. Looking forward to meeting you soon.
Daniele
