About a year ago, my husband and I began planning a move. One where we’d avoid cold – snowy winters, crabby – unimaginative people, and the rat race of midwestern corporate time clock watchers. Really folks – those that arrive at work first and leave last are not the hardest working, most dedicated employees. Really.
Our first leap took us just south of Santa Fe, NM. A bit of snow, lots of sun, beautiful scenery, creative people, and the laid-back New Mexican culture. The perfect life…or so we had hoped. Turned out, we were wrong.
We’re about to embark on the second leg of our journey, which we’ve labeled “Freedom 45.” We’re continuing to head west. With some adjustments made to our life plan and an end goal more clearly defined, maybe this time we’ll get it right. How we arrived at this new vision and what Freedom 45 entails will unfold as this blog develops.
Please share your thoughts and experiences with us as we go. We can support each other as we aim to find a more simple way of life – less stress, less stuff, more gratitude, more fulfillment, and improved connections.
