All of those involved with the debate concerning the connection between salt intake and high BP agree that poor diet, lack of exercise, obesity, too much alcohol and stress will lead to high blood pressure and heart disease. The advice given out by the FSA is still being debated but the evidence provided suggests that some reduction along with other dietary and lifestyle changes may reduce the risk of high BP and cardiovascular problems.
