When an account has been opened, but problems of verification arise in the banking relationship, which cannot be resolved, the Bank should close the account and return the monies to the customer. Practically, customers have the right to move their business from one bank to another. However, if the Bank suspects that an applicant is being refused banking facilities by another bank, it should apply enhanced diligence procedures to the customer, and request the customer to declare the name of previous bank and then contacting that bank to find out the reasons why the client left the previous bank. If the Bank closes a customer account due to suspicions of illegal activity, the Bank shall share this information, upon request with the other banks in which the customer is applying for an account.
