The average depth of the lakes, canals and marshes ranges between 2 and 3
metres, with annual oscillations of approximately one metre. The deepest depths
recorded, up to 4 metres, correspond to the deepest parts of certain channels and
lakes. Lagunas del Iberá has an average depth of approximately 3 metres, with a
completely flat bottom and very little micro relief. Topographically, it is located 65
metres above sea level.
