Different researchers have identified varying factors that directly or indirectly affect the transfer of training. These factors are categorized as individual, situational, environmental or contextual and intervention design factors. This paper proposes a
combination of variables coupled with the development of propositions based on the literature. However, the proposed model will need to be tested in future research (see Figure 1). Thus the purpose of this paper is to provide a clear insight about the factors that affect the transfer of training.
The central issue of training and development is to engage employees in effective learning.
