3.2.3. Sample of UFO1%FFA
For this sample temperature is the most important factor with a
negative influence for DG, TG and low positive effect for MG. The
catalyst concentration has a negative influence for MG, DG and
very low positive effect for TG.
At low temperature, the increase of catalyst concentration produces
a small decrease of MG and DG from (0.78–0.76%), and from
(0.1–0.08%) respectively and an increase for TG from (0.02–0.04%).
However at high value of temperature when the catalyst concentration
increased a slight decrease in the content of DG (0.04–
0.03%) and TG (0.02–0.01%) was observed while the MG contents
it maintain constant (0.78%). The T–C interaction is negative on
biodiesel purity of UFO1%FFA (Fig. 7(a)).
Results show that only a small decrease in purity of biodiesel
from 99.2% to 99.1% could be observed (Fig. 7(b)), however the best
condition from an economic point of view for the transesterification
of UFO1%FFA could be working with low temperature and catalyst
concentration levels giving a purity of (99.17%) with a content
of MG (0.79%), DG (0.1%) and TG with (0.02%), producing a biodiesel
which meet EN14214 specification.
