1929: Xaloy was founded as Industrial Research Laboratories in Los Angeles, California
1931: Invents the world’s first bimetallic casting alloy
1934: Invents a casting process for lining cylindrical steel objects with wear-resistant alloys
1938: Delivers the first bimetallic barrel for plastics machinery
1960: Screen changer production begins under the Beringer brand name
1963: Moves headquarters to the East Coast in order to be closer to key customers
1972: Invents the tungsten carbon inlay
1983: Melt pump production begins under the Normag brand name
1986: Purchases Flametech (Seabrook facility) and becomes a full-line supplier
1990: Extek screen changer product line is introduced
1995: Opens Japanese offices to reach a growing Asian market
1996: Develops Xaloy Production System
1998: Begins construction of facility in Chonburi, Thailand
2003: Acquires New Castle Industries and expands screw and roll product offering
2004: Develops patented Fusion™ screw technology
2005: Establishes sales office in Germany and re-enters the European market
2006: Acquires Dynisco’s Extrusion Products Division; provides full range of extrusion products and European manufacturing capabilities
2007: Introduces revolutionary nXheatTM barrel heating system
