Mycorrhiza and plant growth
same level in the second series (B) mycorrhizal plants had significantly higher dry weights than controls but only at 5%probability level. In the phosphate levels 4 and 8 there was no significant difference between mycorrhizal plants and controls. Hence from these two experiments it is evident that the mycorrhizal condition was more effective in increasing plant growth at low levels of phosphate nutrition. With higher levels the differences were less marked and at the highest level only slight stimu- lation was found. Similar results have been noted for strawberry(Holevas, 1964)
