Measurement experts recommend that the criteria on which grades are based should be related to the type of course, project, or activity for which the grade is given. They suggest using product criteria for most purposes because they are less subjective to bias than progress and process criteria. However, in spite of assessing student work ignores believe that using a single set of criteria of the expert’s advice, many teacher believe that using a single set of criteria for assessing student work ignores important factors, and they prefer to continue to use process criteria [Guskey,1994]
