Entrepreneurial Motives (Hypothesis 3)
The third hypothesis tested whether entrepreneurial
motives have a positive effect on managers’ response
to various environmental phenomena. In Table 3, Entrepreneurial Motives was treated as the independent variable. Table 3 presents results for simple regression
analysis of Entrepreneurial Motives and managers’
response to various environmental phenomena. The
results indicate that Entrepreneurial Motives influences
managers’ response to various environmental phenomena. Table 3 also shows the values of R, R2, beta values,
and associated ANOVA that indicate that Entrepreneurial Motives had a positive effect on Motivation
(p < .10), Managerial Innovation and Taking Opportunities (p < .001), and Business Linkages (p < .05). No
significant relationship was found between Entrepreneurial Motives and Managerial Innovation.
