samples stored in 50 l plastic containers for 3 weeks
before exposure (Test A and B). When G. corsicum
samples were tested immediately after collection (Test
C, D, F, G) a gradient in the 48hLD50 values from 3136
to 1268 cells ml−1 was observed, with the lowest being
at the end of the G. corsicum proliferation. On one
occasion the test was performed at the same time using
the same sample for both species S. aurata and D.
labrax. The 48hLD50 for D. labrax (2424 cells ml−1)
was higher than the 48hLD50 for S. aurata (1510 cells
ml−1).
