The aim of the present contribution was to investigate the potential for use of the electrospun PLLA fiber mats as carriers for topical and/or transdermal delivery of rice bran extract. The release characteristic of rice bran extract from the rice bran extract-loaded electrospun PLLA fiber mats was investigated by the total immersion method. The antioxidant activity of rice bran extract in the rice bran extract-loaded PLLA fiber mats was also evaluated based on the 1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging, ABTS+ radical-scavenging, and total phenolic content.
