2.6. Regeneration of the exhausted adsorbent
When a column of adsorbent was saturated with CO2, the exhausted adsorbent was regenerated by sweeping the column with N2 at an upward flow rate of 100 mL STP/min at 100 kPa at
four different temperatures (140 C, 150 C, 160 C and 170 C). The regeneration
flow of N2 was continued until no CO2 can be detected in the sweeping gas. The CO2 adsorption performance (APCO2) was then calculated from Eq. (3).
