X. CONCLUSION
The aim of this study has been to investigate the smartphone’s relevance to the field of inertial motion capture and activity tracking. The paper’s developments expose solutions for sensor fusion, server-side data synchronization, data streaming protocols and remote control functionality using event triggers. When combined to form one application, thesesolutions demonstrate that modern smartphones are suitable prototyping environments and test beds for BSNs because they amalgamate powerful computational resources, motion sensing hardware and telecommunication technologies in one ubiquitous package.
