3.2. Lipid peroxidation evaluation
Changes in the lipid peroxidation rates (expressed as MDA
content) were also observed. Concentrations of 0.6806 ± 0.001
and 0.4651 ± 0.016 nM g−1 fresh weight were determined in the
T and NT soybean leaves, respectively. Thus, MDA was ca. 32%
higher in T plants compared to NT plants, and because lipid
peroxidation is considered an important and commonly used
stress indicator, we conclude that the stress level in T plants is
higher than in NT plants.
