Corporate Culture of Zara
Zara has developed some sort of culture as time passed, there were many people involved throughout this process. What makes a company successful is the culture within the employees which is suited to their respective tasks.
Ortega wanted to make the best out of his companies, and with that, he wanted to do a little experiment. He incorporated a few work cultures into his company:-
Aggressive culture: Ortega's vision for Zara was to be a high speed production fashion company. Therefore, inheriting an aggressive culture would benefit this as the company would get immediate results and meet its goals.
Play culture: As Zara is known for setting trends into the global fashion industry, it is important for employees to come up with different kinds of designs. A play culture is more concerned with innovative and creative ideas to accomplish tasks, therefore adapting this play culture would do good to Zara.
Collaborative culture: Team work is highly recommended when it comes to working in Zara, employees are to find common ground for the good of Zara. This culture might not be as competitive, however it allows employees to work together, and giving them the opportunity to overcome issues through company teamwork.
The corporate culture of Zara is vital to their success as it describes the values, customs and traditions of the company. If the company doesn't incorporate good cultures, the reputation of the company is spoilt. People wouldn't want to purchase clothings from here any more.
Fortunately, Ortega has managed to create a system and culture whereby the company has not been affected by anything yet. This is why Zara is still expanding it's business till today.
