Specifically, planning was hypothesised to mediate the
impact of intention on behaviour and to moderate the intention–
behaviour relationship such that intention should be more
predictive of behaviour when people engage in planning. The
definition for the consumption of food low in saturated fats
employed in the present study was based on recommendations
contained in the Dietary Guidelines for Australians and the
Australian Guide to Healthy Eating (Commonwealth Department
of Health and Ageing, 2001).
