There are people, however, who argue that genital intimacy is necessary in order to make the expression of love very intense and deep. This may be true in the
case of a man and woman committed to each other in marriage. However, the statement cannot be generalised. A mother's love for the child, for example, is very intense and deep. But it does not involve any genital sexual intimacy. So, too love between a brother and a sister or between two close friends is very deep. Here also there is no genital intimacy. So we can love deeply and indeed very deeply without getting involved in genital expressions.
