This study demonstrates the simultaneous determination of eight anionic species (i.e., fluoride, chloride, nitrite, nitrate, sulphite, phosphate, sulphate, and thiosulphate) by suppressed IC using a poly(vinyl alcohol) column and conductivity detection. First, the system operating conditions for the detection of these anions (mobile phase composition, column temperature, and flow rate of the mobile phase) were examined, and the temporal stability and analytical precision of sulphite were then determined. Finally, the developed method was used to analyse the sulphite content in several wine samples.
