This paper presents a consensus based traffic management
systems. It uses a consensus algorithm to establish the
cooperation between the roads. The purpose is managing the
traffic in a distributed way and the road resources can properly
assigned to the vehicles on the roads. A realistic simulator is
used to test the traffic management system. The traffic flow is
used to evaluate the performance of the traffic control system.
The simulation results show that the system can effectively
manage the traffic flow in the network. By investigating the
traffic flow, we get conclusion that the system can control the
traffic flow to reach an agreement and road resources can be
evenly distributed to vehicles.
