The suspects were identified as Netsai Panyakham, 40, and her sister Manee Panyakham, 39, both from Tak province. The pair were apprehended late on Tuesday night while allegedly looking for new victims on Jomtien Beach in Pattaya. Pol Col Sukkhathat Pumpanmuang, chief of Pattaya police, told a press briefing yesterday the arrest was carried out after three foreign tourists — two Frenchmen and an Indian — filed complaints with Pattaya police. The men said they were lured to a hotel with the offer of sex, where the women drugged and robbed them. The latest case occurred on Feb 11. Police said the suspects targeted foreign tourists — most often elderly men — on Pattaya beach and offered them a threesome. When victims showed interest, they were taken to a hotel the sisters had already booked.
The suspects allegedly told police they would lace alcohol or fruit with strong sleeping pills. After the men had passed out, the suspects stole their money and valuables before fleeing. Pol Col Sukkhathat said the women stole 140,000 baht and three mobile phones from the three victims. The pair were charged with theft. (184 words)
