Nowadays, energy crisis and environmental problems have become the serious issues facing all lives on the earth. It mainly attributed to more use of energy via combustion systems. The process that directly causes these problems is power generation using fossil fuel. The World Energy Outlook shows that about 80 to 90 % of the world’s energy consumption is derived from the burning/combustion of fossil fuels (31% coal, 35% oil and 23% natural gas) as primary energy [1, 2]. Moreover, it is predicted that these fossil energy sources will be depleted within the next 40–50 years [2]. The global energy demand is increasing due to the rapid increase in world’s population and economic development [3]. One reason for the increase in non-industrial electricity consumption is due to electrification and air conditioned buildings using electricity [4, 5]. During 2006 to 2030, the global green-house gas (GHG) emissions are expected to be increased by about 45% [3].
