Differential relays with a variable

Differential relays with a variable-percentage characteristic should be used in a
scheme involving multiple restraint, as shown in Figure 8.18. The secondaries of the CTs on the feeders on the outgoing side of the busbar are connected in parallel
and across the differential relay, together with the secondaries of CTs of the circuits
on the incoming side of the busbar that also are connected in parallel.
