Although significant numbers of studies have explored the use of soya waste as a food additive, microbiological mediumand high-value-added product (O’Toole, 1999; Stanojevic et al., 2012; Li et al., 2013), its utilisation as animal feed is still low.Including soya waste in the diet of goats or replacing commercial pelleted compound feed with soya waste did not impair the feed intake, growth or reproductive performance of the animals, suggesting that soya waste feed is a viable replacement
for scarce feedstuffs, such as grass, and expensive commercially produced compound feed. Furthermore, the use of residue,such as soya waste, will help to improve feed self-sufficiency rates in animal production.
