On a recent comprehensive review about the subject, Ebner and Ritter [16] suggest that a near-term goal to be pursued concerning adsorbents for CO2 capture should be to develop materials which can operate at elevated temperatures in the presence of sulfur bear- ing compounds and possibly steam, with working capacities in the range of 3–4 mmol of CO2 /g adsorbent, that is, 132–176 mg/g within the pressure range at which emissions occur.
