C. flabelliformis and A. calamus generally exhibited higher ROL, with A. calamus being significantly higher than other
species in summer (P < 0.05), and C. flabelliformis being significantly higher than other species in autumn (P < 0.05) (Table 1).
We found no significant difference in ROL among the species in winter. There were significant differences in ROL among
seasons for most of the plant species (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01), with the highest appearing in summer (July) and the lowest in
winter (January). Different plant species, however, showed different seasonal patterns. The highest ROL of A. calamus
appeared in summer, while low values were observed in autumn (October) and winter (P < 0.05). C. flabelliformis and V.
zizanioides exhibited higher ROL in summer and autumn than in winter (P < 0.05), while P. australis showed no significant
difference in ROL among different seasons (Table 1). ROL followed a clear single-peak daily trend, with the same daily
variation pattern as light intensity (Fig.1). Significant differencewas observed between the highest and the lowest ROL during
a day (P < 0.05).
