Last night, I logged in soompi to read our thread and others as a habit. While I was looking at his rival thread, my ipad screen got freezed halfway , probably coz I was opening many windows tabs at the same time. I had to use 5 fingers to touch the screen, and there was a time when I felt one of my fingers tapped at some wrong place on the screen. When it worked normally again, I forgot to check what really happened, and went to bed. Today, I found out I actually left an... "off-topic" icon over there all night long !
Mehhhh...first I felt so "uh oh" with that incident, but the funny thing was that off- topic icon was found to be left at a post that had nothing to do with the "off topic" nature or with my love/ hate relationship with them. While I was thinking of what to do, I read their reactions. Well, my funny incident made them feel they were so well-manner blah blah blah, and acted as if looking at other threads were sth wrong or shameful. Errr...what on earth could make them think someone would want to drop an off topic icon at an irrelevant post in a rival thread? I may be careless but not that stupid.
Them Well-manner? Well-manner my foot. I recalled the prime minister award event recently when some KSH fans here posted some photos of these two rivals' very first encounter in the event. You (innocently) said nice things about it,
- that fan war didn't affect their friendship (while I silently wondered since when their friendship existed?).
- You even created a funny conversation for the photo (while I silently found it frustrating to read, lol, sorry)
- you even wished they would play brothers in the same project (while I silently thought this would happen 400 years before, or later)
No one, no one showed any bad attitude towards it. While I felt so surprised the nice and controlling way KSH fans here behaved towards such situation, how about them over there? Sb there didn't hesitate to express her anger of seeing KSH name mentioned repeatedly by sb else in such a "fanwar-free" way in their own thread. She didn't bother to hide her hostile attitude towards ...KSH name itself.
Back to the off topic incident: What happened happened. Next time, if I really have an urge to drop the same icon there, I will definitely drop it at the right post. I promise.
sorry if i condemn anyone. for me, i'm tired of fandoms war. if other fandoms so heated up and jealous about kim soo hyun, let them be. why we should be like them? with this fandom fight, there's no fun in watching korean dramas lately. i will just be open minded. any negative comments or talks about our baby i will just pass by. let them talk all they want. i don't want to be like them. i watched korean drama since first hallyu wave spread to asia. at that time there's no fan war for leading man of dramas such as winter sonata and autumn in my heart. both actors and actress are well beloved by people. but i notice for this second wave, since soo hyun is new top hallyu star and the other actor is already established hallyu star, his fans cannot accept the truth that soo hyun can reach same level with their bias.i remembered during first hallyu wave i'm so excited to watch any korean dramas even i didn't know who the leads in it. this negative fandoms behavior will not spread more love to hallyu wave but will strict it more to certain fandom viewers because they have mindset to not want other actor to be successful. from my point of view, i also see some fans from other fandom who think their bias is so underrate and keep complaining and bad mouth our baby because he is so successful and talk like he is so overrate. this make me loss my interest to watch their bias dramas even before i have nothing against their bias.Cannot we be like previous hallyu wave? we should just enjoy the dramas as much as we want without talk bad about any actors.
You got it right @NurB. From here, what I see is like a mother bear defending her cub while some sows try to come near the cub to befriend it, but the mother bear will scare them off. Obviously, the mother bear represents the fans of the other artist and the other mother bears (sows) are us.
It is really frustrating to know that some people really bad mouth (insults, criticizes, etc.) our baby KSH. I hope that these people, who don't know how to comprehend a simple mistake, should change.
BTW, @moonlight88, did you message the person that you accidentally clicked the off topic? Let's go give her a hug.
