Results and discussion
The electric output measurement was performed on an arch-shaped TENG device at a size of 15 cm x 30 cm, with the triggering frequency of 2 Hz and controlled amplitude. The short-circuit current(lsc) has an alternating behavior with maximum amplitude of 120 HA(Figure 3a). The open- circuit voltage(voc) oscillates at the same frequency as that of Isc with a peak value over 270 V(Figure 3b). The output performance of the fabricated arch-shaped TENGs in lel during agitation is plotted in Figure 3c-d. The measured Isc of the device has continuous alternating current output an average amplitude of 4.8 mA(Figure 3c) and the measured Voc oscillates at the same frequency as that of l,e with a peak value of 210 V(Figure 3d). Since the output of the TENGs do not apply to disinfection and algae removal transformers were used to improve performance in the experiments. The dynamic process is shown in movie file ES1 in the Electronic Supporting Information. It is observed that this system can drive a tank-type micro-current electrolysis device for disinfection and algae removal, which demonstrates its commercial value.
