Ted began as a set of conferences owned by the private non-profit Sapling Foundation, hosting talks related to technology and design. Over the years, their motto “ideas worth sharing” has led them to branch out into all kinds of topics, presenting conferences all across the globe on a wide variety of subjects. Through the internet and online video-sharing platforms such as YouTube, Ted Talks have become exceptionally popular. Among their more recent projects, Ted-Ed focuses on education and learning. In a recent video by Anita Collins, Ted-Ed featured the topic “Music and the Brain”:
