optimization model is established based on energy value balance of sintering process. The residual heat and energy recovery constraints of sintering process are added in the model. The optimization problem is solved by linear programming and the optimal batching scheme and corresponding indexes are obtained. The results are compared with those obtained by taking the lowest cost as optimization objective. The major factors that influence the optimal results are analyzed. The results show that Chengchao ore, Carajas ore, coke and CaO have great influences on the minimum energy value of sinter. The optimized minimum energy value of sinter is 3978.7 MJ/t. The optimal batching scheme can improve the effects
of energy saving and CO2 emission reduction by 4.92%, while the cost increases by 6.85%.
