Ok : definitely, if your benefit is “free Beer”. But if it’s not, you’re in big trouble.
You’re going to be thrown in there with washing powders that get clothes whiter, toothpastes that taste nicer, tires that grip better…
In other words, you’re going to be ignored.
Don’t misunderstand us, please. If your product has a substantial benefit over its competitors, you’d be mad not to tell everyone. The point is, it’d be mad to think that’s all you had to do.
The public, as we’ve said, has become immune to everyday advertising.
