which is the evidence of the adhesion role of
epoxy in the composite materials for wear resistance. And in high magnificent
wear surface morphology of Cr3C2/epoxy composite material,
the plastic deformation is observed, which represents the adhesion
wear. However, in porous Cr3C2 ceramic numbers of deep pits were observed
(Figs. 6a and 9a), which is different to the wear surface of Cr3C2/
epoxy composite material. In Fig. 9b with high magnificence, the surface
ofworn porous material is similar to that of as-sinter Cr3C2 ceramic. The
main reason for this phenomenon is the break of Cr3C2 branch in porous
ceramic, which induces the abrasive wear.
